Due to the snow, Baltimore County Recreation and Parks facilities will be closed on Monday, February 8.  Monday’s clinics and pizza party will now be held next Monday, February 15, 2010.

The Monday session, scheduled to start on February 15, will now start on February 22.

For Wednesday, if the schools are closed (or closed early), the facility will be closed and the clinic postponed.  The make up clinic would then be Wednesday, February 17.

If you would like to sign up for one of the GLRRC Soccer Clinics at NERRC (the former Perring Athletic Club, 7501 Oakleigh Road, Parkville, Maryland), please click the link to the right marked “registration”, fill in the form and mail in a check payable to “GLRRC”  to the Loch Raven Rec Center, 1801 Glen Keith Boulevard.   I will then e-mail you a confirmation as well as instructions on what to bring and to which clinic you are assigned to.

We are pleased to announce two, week-long Soccer Camps:

June 14 – 18, 2010: Indoor Soccer Camp at NERRC; 7501 Oakleigh Road, Parkville, Maryland 21234.  Registration Deadline: June 1, 2010

August 9 -13, 2010: Soccer Camp at GLRRC Recreation Center; 1801 Glen Keith Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland 21234 (last year’s location).  Registration Deadline: August 1, 2010.  This is the location of last week’s camp.

Registration Fee prior to deadline: $150.00; $25.00 late fee for after deadline.  Group and multi-family discounts offered.

We will have the following programs coming up:

Monday – co-ed 3-4 yr. olds – 5 weeks starting February 15 (due to snow, now February 22)

Monday - 5-7 yr. old boys – 5 weeks starting February 15 (due to snow, now February 22)

(we will offer discount for any children continuing current session)

Deadline for Monday clinic: February 12, 2010 (due to snow, now February 19)

Wednesday co-ed 3-8 yr. olds – 5 weeks starting March 3 (there will be 3-week break in between sessions; also discount offered for children continuing current session)

Deadline registration for Wednesday clinic: February 26, 2010

Saturday – co-ed 3 – 8 yr. old; 2 1-hour sessions based on enrollment, between 9 and 11 a.m. commencing March 27, 2010.

Deadline for registration March 13, 2010

We had a great start and by all accounts all 30+ registrants had fun.  We still have space in all four clinics should you wish to register your child.  Click on registration to the right and bring a check with you when you come to the clinic.  Pro-rated rates are available if and when convenient.

UPDATE: JANUARY 18: There are regular sessions today despite the MLK Holiday!

I have updated this web site so that we can take online registrations (again).  There is a bug in the system where the form goes away when the first clinic starts and I had forgotten about that.

Also, we have tentative dates for our summer camps:

June 14-18, 2010 – location at NERRC – formally Perring Athletic Club

August 9 -13, 2010 at Loch Raven Rec Center, the former Loch Raven Elementary School

Late August – Mini-Kickers clinic in early evening; 1 1/2 hours per day – location TBD

The cost for the camp will be $175 ($25 discount for registrations received before 6/1/10 and 7/15/10, respectively) .  The cost of the clinic will be $60. ($10 discount for registrations received before 8/15/10)

We will have one combined clinic at 4:15 p.m. with both age groups on January 20.   Based on the attendance then, we will then let everyone know whether we will continue at 4:15 p.m., split into a 3:30 and 4:30 time with 2 age groups, or just do one clinic at 4:30.

We still have space in all 4 clinics (see below for details).  If you still you would like to come today (or next week if you just saw the notice and cannot make it tonight), please register on the right side and bring a check with you to the clinic so that our coaches know that you are coming (and we can get an extra person, if necessary)

We have opened registrations for the next session of our indoor soccer clinics, which will start the week of January 11.

Actual programs subject to change based on enrollment and/or demand.  A clinic is considered “full” when we have 25 registrations.

The clinics will continue with another 5-week program starting the week of  February 22, 2010.

Please then bring a check, payable to “GLRRC Soccer Clinic” to your first class.  We will ask you to physically sign a registration form at the clinic – we will fill the information in for you.

If you are registering and mailing in forms, please let us know that you will be participating so that we can get a head count and have enough coaches on hand.

Both our Holiday Goalkeeper Camp and Boys Indoor Instructional Program had 13 participants.  Reportedly, everyone had a good time!

We had several people indicate that they will be attending on Wednesday instead of Monday’s snowed out clinic and pizza party.  If you would still like to attend Wednesday’s clinic you can still do so.  You must let us know by 1 p.m. if you will be doing this, so that we can have enough coaches and pizza on hand!
